A place for recent weddings, sessions, Florida locations, photography tips, and a few things I'm currently loving.
I haven’t photographed a wedding at Field Manor yet, but it is definitely a Merritt Island venue I’d love to photograph.
Located along the Indian River, Field Manor combines historic Florida charm with a waterfront setting, making it a beautiful option for couples planning a Space Coast wedding. The property includes 45 acres, a covered pavilion and several outdoor spaces for ceremonies and portraits.
If you’re considering it for your wedding, you can find current venue details, packages and availability on the Field Manor website.
From a photography perspective, there is so much variety in one location.
You have the historic manor, the grounds, the riverfront and the covered pavilion. That means couples can get a mix of portraits without spending their wedding day driving between locations.
And that waterfront setting would be especially beautiful around sunset.
If you’re considering Field Manor, I’d pay attention to your timeline.
I’d want enough time for family portraits, wedding party photos and couple portraits, while still leaving plenty of time to enjoy your reception.
The venue’s current standard wedding package includes access to the ceremony circle, lawn, porch, cocktail area, covered pavilion and two getting-ready suites. The pavilion also has weather panels for less-than-perfect weather.
Field Manor currently lists wedding packages that can accommodate up to 150 guests, depending on the package.
If I were photographing a Field Manor wedding, I’d want to plan for:
Getting-ready photos
A first look, if you want one
Family and wedding party portraits
Couple portraits around the property
A few minutes of sunset portraits by the river
Reception details and candid moments
The goal wouldn’t be to spend hours taking photos. I’d want to build photography naturally into the day so you still have plenty of time with your guests.
If Field Manor is on your venue list, I’d love the chance to photograph a wedding there.
And if you’re planning a Merritt Island or Space Coast wedding, I’d be happy to help you figure out how much photography coverage makes sense for your day.
